Join in "Prantwad Choddo - Bharat Jodo Yatra"
- An initiative of Lok Satta Movement's 'One India One People Abhiyan'
Why?
It is famously said that 'British divided and ruled India'. With independence and 60 years thereafter, it is sad to find that British rulers have been substituted by few Indians, who have pursued the same policy of 'Divide and rule' leaving Indians fooled, ruled and plundered. The growing disparity between one state and another is very noticeable and significant. In India, political parties fan the fires of regionalism, communalism and parochialism. The recent attacks against poor migrant labourers in Assam, Maharashtra and other parts of the country have threatened the unity and integrity of the country. The parties ascribing to regionalism have by and large never showed interests in respecting 'The Rule of Law' and improving governance.
'Prantwad Choddo - Bharat Jodo Yatra' is an effort to highlight such unfair political practices and proclaim in the spirit of nationalism the need for constructive solutions to fight poverty and unemployment.
